Nalanda Academy, located at Samyak Buddha Vihar in Wardha, follows the vision of anti-caste leaders like Jotiba Phule, Savitrimai Phule, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. It offers free training, guidance, and mentorship to underprivileged students seeking higher education. The Academy conducts an annual, 10-month Foundation Course providing free residential training to over 200 underprivileged students, enabling them to pursue higher education. Over the past decade, it has helped over 1600 students from 15 states secure admission to prestigious higher education institutions across the country, with 37 students currently enrolled in renowned foreign universities.To sustain its operations, the Academy relies on financial support from individuals committed to the Ambedkarite philosophy of empowering communities through education.
Nalanda Academy's journey began in 2013 with a four-month training program led by Anoop Kumar at Dr. Ambedkar College of Social Work, benefiting 22 undergraduate women students.
Anoop Kumar establishes the Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Public Library at Dr. Ambedkar College of Social Work, Wardha, with local community support.
The local community welcomes Nalanda to operate from Samyak Buddha Vihar, where it has been based since, providing facilities for over 200 students.

Nalanda Labs, founded by Late. Abhiyan Humane in 2018, is a platform for students to pursue their interests in sciences, design and technology. Lab is designed to be an ecosystem for young students to explore the intersections of Art-Science-Technology.
Nalanda Academy launches the Abhiyan Library Initiative to establish rural community libraries in Wardha as a tribute to the late Abhiyan Humane.
Kanta Humane and Shashikant Humane, parents of the late Prof. Abhiyan, generously donate 9 acres of land to Nalanda Academy for its upcoming Nalanda Abhiyan Campus.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, Nalanda introduces Digital Nalanda, a free online learning platform now serving over 18,000 students.
To recognize and celebrate the intellectual contributions of individuals who have historically faced barriers to academic advancement, the Samyak Center for Interdisciplinary Research is founded.
To support underprivileged students by providing access to proper resources and a network, the Nalanda Counselling Centre, with over 200 mentors, is launched.
With the completion of the compound wall, the construction of the academic block, consisting of four classrooms, is now underway at the Nalanda Abhiyan Campus.
