Krantijyoti Savitrimai Phule Second Education Fair
On 29th May 2022 the Nalanda Academy Wardha had organised it’s most grandeur event ‘Krantijyoti Savitrimai Second Education Fair’ in Wardha, Maharashtra at Ambedkar College of Social Work, Wardha. The objective of the fair was to reach out and support as many as of our rural students in pursuing Higher Education and better career opportunities. Nalanda Academy Wardha had invited students of class 10 and above, their parents and guardians to join in the education fair.
The fair was inaugurated and presided over by our Chief Guest Shri Shyam Tagade (IAS, Principal Secretary to Government of Maharashtra) and Nalanda Academy’s director Mr. Anoop Kumar along with Chetna Sawai managing trustee of Chetna Education Society. Our chief guest also visited the exhibition prepared by students of Nalanda Academy. The exhibition exhibited the pictorial journey of Nalanda Academy, its success stories and journey along with a tribute to our late colleague Mr. Abhiyan Humane.
Stalls
Nalanda academy had put various put stalls of India’s premier universities like TISS, APU, JNU, DU, University of Hyderabad and National Law Universities. Various stalls on national level entrance examinations like IIT-JEE, NEET, CAT, MHCET, CUCET and UGC-NET to know more about the examination procedures. Stalls for students interested in foreign education, opportunities, its eligibility, various existing scholarships and eligibility tests like GRE, TOEFL, GMAT and IELTS. Nalanda academy had also put stalls on various competitive exams like UPSC, MPSC, SSC, Banking, NDA, CDS and CA these stalls were the highlight of the fair and received highest number of visitors.
Nalanda academy had also put up a stall for students interested in pursuing and knowing more the emerging field of Data science, machine learning, coding, Python and R. where hundreds of students visited to know more about this emerging field. Nalanda academy had also put up a special stall for student’s career guidance and counselling to help students who are unable to decide and are confused about their career choices and interests.
Success
The academy with the help of its students, Alumni’s studying in various top universities and experts from various fields provided information and proper guidance to students. The students gained more insights into various courses, entrance examinations, and other competitive exams for free of costs. Nearly one thousand students along with their parents and guardians visited the fair and all our stalls and gained more insights into opportunities in higher education. The fair was also visited by various dignitaries and community members.
The fair was made successful by the sleepless nights spent and tireless work done by the Nalanda Academy Wardha’s students, alumni’s, mentors, friends and community members. The event ended with a promise to organise more of such events which will reach out to more of our students and feast for our students and alumni.
