Meet our achievers: Dr Sandeep Tamgadge, IPS, 15th October 2021 

Nalanda Academy, Wardha hosted Dr. Sandeep Tamgadge (IPS, Addl. DGP, Nagaland Police) to interact with our students at the Academy. Dr. Tamgadge spoke on opportunities in civil services, how to prepare for UPSC examination and the myths and perks of being a civil servant.

65th Dhammachakra Pravartan Diwas, 14th October 2021 

65th Dhammachakra Pravartan Diwas: Nalanda Abhiyan Campus

On the occasion of 65th Dhammachakra Pravartan Diwas, Nalanda Abhiyan Trust laid the foundation stone of Nalanda Abhiyan Campus spread in 9 acres of land at Waifad, Wardha. The proposed residential campus will host about 300 students, once completed. 

8th Nalanda Foundation Day, 27th September 2021

Many alumni and students of Nalanda Academy and Digital Nalanda came together in Wardha to celebrate 8th Foundation Day of Nalanda Academy. The day was celebrated by recognising the contribution made by the local Ambedkarite community in nurturing the Academy with all love and support. 

Muktiparv, 11th April – 16 April 2021


To commemorate the birth anniversaries of our leaders Jotiba Phule (11th April) and Bahasaheb Ambedkar (14th April), Nalanda Academy organised a week long online event Muktiparva.  In this event, 12 achievers from the community interacted online with over thousand students and shared their knowledge and experiences with them. 

Film Making & Digital Communication Workshop, 8th January – 11th January 

Nalanda Academy in collaboration with Kabes Foundation, Bengaluru organised a 4 day media workshop on the fundamentals of Filmmaking and Digital Communication. The workshop was attended by 30 students including many educators from Digital Nalanda. The workshop included training on working with light and images, scriptwriting, video editing and camera handling.  As part of their assignments, the participants made 4 short films that are available for public viewing at Digital Nalanda’s Youtube Channel.

The Sanghamitra Collective invited 28 women achievers from diverse backgrounds, from different parts of the globe, across 10 states in India to celebrate our community’s hard-earned successes on the occasion of the birth anniversary of one of our greatest icons Savitrimai Phule. The event, divided into 3 sessions (DeepStambh, Pradipta and Navkiran) was held online on Digital Nalanda platform. Over 3000 people watched our programme through our multiple live streams including digital nalanda website, youtube and facebook lives. 

Digital Nalanda Launch, 14th October 2020 

As a response to the disruption caused due to the Covid pandemic in our classroom teaching, Nalanda Academy launched a free online learning platform – Digital Nalanda on the occasion of 64th Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Day. In one year, Digital Nalanda is running over 25 online courses in 10 different academic disciplines and is catering to over 11,000 students from across the country.
