3rd Krantijyoti Savitrimai Phule Education Fair 2023: Empowering Futures
On July 2, 2023, Nalanda Academy hosted its 3rd Krantijyoti Savitrimai Phule Education Fair at Dr. Ambedkar College of Social Work, Wardha. This unique event provided career counseling and mentorship, with Nalanda alumni from diverse fields sharing experiences to guide students in making informed decisions.
The fair featured one-on-one counseling by experts addressing queries on courses, colleges, scholarships, and financial aid. Students received detailed resources, including booklets and digital materials, about entrance exams and educational opportunities. The event also fostered networking, enabling students to connect with peers, mentors, and alumni, creating a supportive community.
Legacy of Empowerment
2018: The inaugural fair welcomed over 700 students, supported by 100+ Nalanda alumni.
2022: The second edition saw over 1,000 participants, showcasing its growing impact.
Highlights of the 2023 Fair
The event commenced with a presentation by Nalanda’s Director, Anoop Kumar, outlining ongoing projects. Six Nalanda alumni, admitted to prestigious foreign universities, and Reshma Ansari, who cleared the MPSC exam, were felicitated.
Dr. Madhavi Khode Chaware, Additional Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In her keynote address, she praised Nalanda Academy’s dedication to empowering marginalized students, encouraged them to seize opportunities, and offered mentorship to civil service aspirants, drawing from her own experiences.
The fair saw over 200 Nalanda alumni providing guidance to nearly 2,000 students and parents from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Gujarat. This diverse and vibrant gathering highlighted the fair’s transformative role in shaping futures.
