From Nalanda to the World: Students Breaking Barriers Globally (2023)

Nalanda Academy proudly celebrates the achievements of its students, who continue to break barriers and reach new heights in higher education.

Many of these students began their journeys in small towns and villages, often with limited resources and guidance. With hard work, the right support, and the right opportunities, they first secured admissions to good universities in India.

Today, they are taking the next big step — moving to some of the world’s leading universities for their postgraduate studies.

These are not just individual achievements. They are proof that students from any background can reach the highest levels of education, if given the right environment and support.

The Class of 2023 — Going Global

This year marks another important milestone for Nalanda. Five more alumni have received offers from leading global universities.

Rashmi & DhirajUniversity of Melbourne, Australia
AsmitaUniversity of Leeds, United Kingdom
SanketNewcastle University, United Kingdom
AniketMonash University, Australia

From Small Towns to the World Stage

Each of these students carries with them a story of persistence. They are the first in their families to pursue postgraduate education abroad.

They navigated language tests, application essays, financial hurdles, and self-doubt — and they made it through.

What made the difference was not just their talent, but the years of preparation, mentorship, and belief that Nalanda helped cultivate in them.

A Growing Legacy

These five join a growing group of Nalanda alumni who are now studying or have studied at universities in the UK, Australia, USA, Canada, and other countries.

Their success is reshaping what rural and small-town students believe is possible for themselves.

And for the students still at Nalanda, these names are not just inspiring — they are living proof that the path exists, and that they too can walk it.

When one student makes it, the door opens a little wider for every student who comes after them.

Nalanda’s Congratulations

Nalanda Academy congratulates Rashmi, Dhiraj, Asmita, Sanket, and Aniket on this extraordinary achievement.

We are proud of everything they have overcome, and deeply excited for what lies ahead for each of them.
