Spreading Savitrimai Phule’s Legacy: Nalanda Outreach in 2022

Creating awareness about the transformative power of education has always been at the heart of Nalanda Academy’s mission. Inspired by the enduring message of Savitrimai Phule—‘Go Get Education’—the Academy has been actively reaching out to students across the country through its awareness and guidance workshops.

In 2022, the Nalanda Academy outreach program extended its impact to over 10,000 students from diverse backgrounds. Apart from Maharashtra, Nalanda organised students workshops across several states, including at Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

These sessions emphasized the importance of accessing quality higher education and provided students with actionable guidance on pursuing their academic aspirations. In Maharashtra, the initiative reached multiple places including Chandrapur, Hinganghat, Umred, Amravati, Bhandara, Beed, Deulgaon, Sindewahi, Yavatmal, Kandhali.

These workshops served as an important platform to inspire and empower students, particularly those from underprivileged and rural communities, to take charge of their educational journeys. While Nalanda Academy continues to provide regular classes at its Wardha premises, these outreach programs extend the Academy’s vision to ensure that education is accessible to all.

By addressing educational disparities and motivating students to aim higher, the Academy reinforces its commitment to building a more equitable society.
